Kaido Minami (海藤みなみ Kaidō Minami?) is one of the main Cures in Go! Princess Pretty Cure. She is a 14 year old girl and has a strong sense of responsibility as well as caring for others like an older sister. Minami's alter ego is Cure Mermaid (キュアマーメイド Kyua Māmeido?), the Princess of the Sea.

Personality[]
The "Academy Princess", Minami is proper, noble, and has a strong sense of responsibility. She is wise and can come off as strict at times, but she has the personality of an older sister. She is fair and caring about others and is likely to worry over them if she sees anything to be concerned with, and she won't let them recklessly get into harm's way if she can help it. She dreams of becoming a respectable person who can be useful to others.
Minami is very close to her family, and as such she struggled to tell them of her true dreams of becoming a Marine Veterinarian, rather than inheriting the family business. She was very worried that she was being selfish, but over time she begins to learn to speak her mind and began making her own decisions that everyone could be happy with.

Dr. Nefarious[]
She is Nefarious' new love interest later girlfriend. In Sonja's Adventures of The Little Mermaid, Nefarious first saw Minami along with the Princess Precure on Eric's ship, where he instantly fell in love with her and even considers her the "most beautiful squishy" he's ever seen.
In Sonja's Adventures of Ratchet and Clank-Rift Apart, while indeed heartbroken with Nefarious back to his old evil ways, Minami proved that she never gave up on Nefarious and even joined in the final battle. After the battle, Nefarious apologizes to her and the others for his recent actions and she forgave him, allowing them to reconcile.
